Introduction

 

Hard alloy cemented carbide rotary file is mainly composed of hard phase tungsten carbide and binding phase cobalt. It is also called cemented carbide high-speed assorted milling cutter, or mold milling cutter, etc. It is mainly matched with high-speed electric grinders and pneumatic tools. use. Because its machining hardness can reach above HRA85, it can be well applied in most materials, such as ordinary cast iron, cast steel, copper, aluminum, marble, alloy steel, carbon steel and other metallic or non-metallic materials. According to shape of head, carbide rotary file can be divided into cylindrical (A), cylindrical head (C), round head arch (F), round ball (D), round head torch shape (H), 90° Conical (K), 60°conical (J), 38°conical (M), arc disc (T), inverted cone (N), conical round head (L), conical tip ( M), waist drum shape (B), oval shape (E), arc arrow (G), conical flat head (S), cylindrical arc half head (W), etc. The commonly used grades of cemented carbide rotary files are YG6, YG8, and YG10X.

 

Basic Fluting Styles for Carbide Burs are as belows:

Nonferrous: For nonferrous materials. Aggressive stock removal.


Coarse Cut: Provides large flute area for softer ferrous materials. Fast stock removal.


Single Cut:General purpose fluting. Produces long chips.


Diamond Cut: For heat treated and tough alloy steels where control is important. Creates a power-like chip. Excellent finish.


Fine Cut: For general use on hard materials requiring a fine finish.


Double Cut: Very efficient stock removal. Creates a small chip.Good finish. Excellent operator control.


Chip Breaker: Provides breakdown in chips. Better control.
