Description
A plotter is a machine used to create vector graphics drawings mainly for the printing industry. Some plotters draw lines on a piece of vinyl or leather with a knife instead of a pen. This type of plotter is often called a cutting plotter, or a vinyl cutter. A vinyl cutter is widely applied in drawing posters, billboards, signs, T-shirt logos, and other weather-resistant graphical designs.
The knife mounted on the plotter machine is known as a vinyl cutter blade, a plotter blade, or a cutting plotter blade. Vinyl cutter blades usually have different degrees for different applications. 45-degree is a standard degree for general purpose applications. 60-degree is for large designs and 30-degree is for small designs.
